Musician of The Month
McKay is a solo artist from Joplin, Missouri. She began doing solo work back in 2017, posting videos on YouTube and singing at open mics. Soon thereafter, she began opening acoustically for artists such as Fox Royale, The Odyssey, Townhousefire, any many more. Indie pop, folk, and alternative influences blend their way through McKay’s music. In 2022, her first published song, “Life, Recently”, hit all music platforms. It was a very big step in her music career. Soon after, “Life with You” was released in 2023. She continues to further her career playing guitar for riverside current and continues to write solo music as well. She will be playing porchfest October 2023.

-I am a non-binary artist, I’ve been painting since I was little and love to play with bright colors. I never stick to one medium, I love learning new ways to apply color to a surface. when I’m not painting i spend time with my family and rescue all the neighborhood cats that my spouse will tolerate.
